Curriculum vitae

Born in Nove Mesto na Morave on 21 November 1976, in 2000 graduated (cum laudis) at the Military University of Ground Forces in Vyskov from „National Defence Economics“, specialised in „Armed Forces Logistics“. In 2004, completed doctoral studies at the same school in „National Defence Economics“. In 2012, completed habilitation proceedings (for Dr. habil. degree) at the National University of Public Administration in Budapest, Hungary, in „Theory of Defence Administration“ programme, „Military Sciences in Social Studies“ field of education. In 2017, he completed General Staff Course at the University of Defence. In 2019 completed the habilitation proceedings at the Faculty of Military Leadership in „National Defence Economics“ field to acquire docent (associate professor) degree.

He had worked for the Logistics Department under the Faculty of Economics and Management since 2004 in the positions of lecturer, researcher, independent researcher and deputy head of the department. Since 2014, he has been appointed the head of Logistics Department under the Faculty of Military Leadership. From 2006, he was appointed Vice-Dean for Studies and Teaching, from 2010 Vice-Dean for External Relations and Development and from the end of 2011 to June 2015 Vice-Dean for Research, all for the Faculty of Military Leadership.

He completed special courses at the following institutions: „Acquisition Policy Course“ at Bundesakademie für Wehrverwaltung und Wehrtechnik in Mannheim, Germany, „Contracting and Logistics: Pre‑Deployment and Deployment Operations“ held by Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, USA, and taking place in the Czech Republic, and courses of modelling and simulating in Simul8 and Simio. He contributed to the arrangements and lectures for Naval Postgraduate School’s courses held in the Czech Republic, cooperates with the Multinational Logistics Cooperation Centre in arranging of and lecturing for „RSOM Orientation Course“ both in the Czech Republic and abroad. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Military Leadership, editorial boards of foreign journals, lectures in the Czech Republic as well as abroad.

He is a regular participant in international military exercises, leads or contributes to national or international research projects (EDA, International Visegrad Fund, NATO STO, PESCO). He has been active in NATO Defence Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) for Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia and was the academic leader for Croatia. Since 2007, he has been a member of the permanent working group for military and security fields under the Accreditation Committee and under the National Accreditation Bureau since 2015. Since 2013, he has been an evaluator for the Technical Verification and Evaluation Panel under the Research, Development and Innovation Council as an advisory body to the Czech Government.

His expert activities focus on military logistics in multinational operations, security and sustainability of distribution chains, modelling and simulating logistic chains.
