Curriculum vitae

Born in Dačice town on 5 August 1971, Jan Veselý completed his secondary education in 1989 at the Grammar School in Telč town and enrolled in Military Academy in Brno to study military technology specialised in weapons. He graduated from the Academy in 1994.

After his studies he began his military career in the position of armament repairs platoon leader in Jihlava city and kept the logistics line of service up to deputy logistics officer of a brigade in 2004. In 2004, he was appointed the head of property management supervision department at the logistic support brigade working for all Joint Forces.

In 2009, he transferred to logistic department of the Military Police Headquarters and then, in 2011, he was appointed the director of support division of the Military Police Headquarters. He closed his military career in 2014 in the rank of colonel.

In 2014, he accepted the job of property management director of the University of Defence to promote to the deputy bursar in 2016. He interrupted his work for the University between 2019 and 2020 to work for security department of Military Police Headquarters. He returned to the University of Defence in 2021 manning again the deputy bursar position until his appointment as bursar.

He has been appointed the bursar of the University of Defence since 1 November 2023.
